The term "bandana thrash" championed by WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? may have been a joke but the band certainly isn't! By rejecting most of the thrash trappings of the last decade W.H.N.? are nonetheless a thrash band for the future. On this CD the band have been digging around in the graveyard, and after a bit of grave robbery, have re-animate the corpse of 80s speedcore/skatecore/crossover and turned it into a contemporary monster. Sometimes I get the impression that people think that because W.H.N.? doesn't sound like a power-violence-come-lately band that they are somehow less intense and brain numbing than their peers. What's up with that? What a total crock. W.H.N.? are going straight for the throat with their mixture of blender guitars and pounding rhythms and they definitely draw blood. The vocals are classic hatecore flavored (a style that has never lacked severity) and are the perfect compliment for the personal and political tirades of the lyrics. Totally raging! I have got to see these guys live! Their worship of Japanese hardcore obviously carries over to their live gig where they totally come unglued in the vintage Nippon style. This disc is an instant classic.--InMusicWeTrust
