Wolves - Art.Culture.Work

This is typically one of those records that gets better the more you listen to it. This is not due to the fact that the band has two former Orchid members or that the lyrics included in the cd-booklet are perfectly fit to be read even without hearing the music... Maybe it's just because of the good composition of the twelve songs. Wolves stand for high-quality indie-hardcore with nice emotional parts often followed or accompanied by intense brakes and guitarrifs. One can hear the Orchid-influences, although Wolves is less chaotic and agressive then Orchid. I'm very much interested in how this Boston-based formation will perform live on stage.

Too soft for punk, too explosive for emo. The Wolves are from the Boston area and were founded late 2000 with 2 former members of Orchid amongst them. Their music is a milestone, melting different musical influences to what their music is; an intense rupture of guitar driving guitar assaults, accompanied with vocals full of emotion and passion. Result... catchy, intense, crazy indie hardcore that pulverizes most of today's bands around in that style. Combine the power of Heroin, the crazy aspect of Orchid and the melody of Universal Order of Armageddon.....
