Poison Idea - Pick Your King

This is an awesome record, hands down the most brutal U.S. hardcore to come out between Negative Approach and Infest. Incredibly tight, angry, and unrelenting -- there's only about 1/3 of a second pause between each track. The guitar is crazy and unpredictable, but always held together by the drums. Good lyrics too. The whole EP is very consistant; there's really no filler in any of the 13 songs. I'd have to say my favorite is "Cult Band." The intro to this one is great... You really can't go wrong with this one.--KFTH

No one but Koro has matched the unrelenting madness of this record. Without stopping to catch their breath, Poison Idea dropped 13 stellar hardcore songs that seem to be held together by pure adrenaline. They also get points for varying the tempo without losing any of the impact that their high-velocity songs have. There's no point saying more, this record speaks for itself. Total ~censored~ classic.--KFTH
