When ska began its change into the more sophisticated-sounding Rock Steady during 1966-'67 singers came into their own. While the tempo remained about the same Rock Steady carried a relaxed rhythmic density.
In Rock Steady the guitar only strums on beats 2 & 4, and the bass guitar emphasizes beats 1 & 3.
Drums are less prominent in Rock Steady as their rhythmic role was being taken over by the bass guitar. Drums provided accents, or were inaudible. Less predominant horns and less-rigid beat offered more vocal possibilities. Rock Steady was perfect for romantic group vocals.

Redkick is street punk ‘n’ ska band formed in Metz, France in 2004, from the ashes of the former Section Molotov, ska band. The original lineup consisted of Ptit Jeff (former Section Molotov Voodoo Devils), Kulmok (ex Neophyte), Fouad (ex Molotov Section) and twins (Julian and Antho). They released a 8track demo in 2005.

Rajin Pangkal Pandai - Scrape Through EP
Be diligent you all to create works such as this one band. Melodic punk rock band from Semarang with a neat recordings, harmonious composition, a total of 4 songs. However, there is a little song out of tune to me on track 2, a cover song from the original version Frente (New Order, Bizzare Love Triangle). And I'm sure, they could rearansemen with a more catchy and cheesy. However, other songs enough 'ngena' for me, let alone have enough acoustic version fresh.
I think they are a potential band for the punk rock scene in Semarang, that maybe if they continue to explore with innovative ideas and not get caught with their influences the band, will one day be comparable to bands like Rocket Rockers, Kuro!, Or maybe SID I think they have enough material ready for full albums.
With the style concoction like No Use For A Name, Not Available, and Strung Out, I do not have long to listen to the bands with music like this color. Because these days like this style is almost 'cleaned' by Screamo bands or pop-punk emo. But I do not want to describe their pop-punk, I think more to the Fat Wreck style course.

Good Reason - Age Of Reason
Good Reason is a band hailing from Bratislava, the capital of Slovak Republic. Started in april 2002 as a NOFX cover band, but slowly writing their own stuff. After many demo recordings, one EP, a split CD with a Hong Kong hardcore band KING LY CHEE which has been released in Europe, USA and Asia and nearly 100 times on stage in different european countries (including Slovakia, Austria, Czech rep., Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Poland....) Gonna Get Yours - The Hidden Side Of Happiness
With HARDxTIMES ex-, ex-Bored to Death, ex-hibitionists ... The band was created in 2005. We recorded 5 songs in october, 2006. Gonna Get Yours is an Antiracist Oi! band. Cheers! Gonna Get Yours begins to repeat the end of 2005 with Sir D on bass, Lord J on vocals, Don C Iky guitar and drums. Iky unwilling to do more Oi! but the Cumbia, he leaves, his heart heavy, the group. Our young lads to fill the cruel absence of their friend and rhythm, are forced to recruit CDI Duke A. .. The group will never be the same. Then enjoy a massive reduction in payroll taxes, Gonna Get Yours hires a young rocker Julian as a bassist, Sir D from then 2nd guitar. But soon Julien alpagué by competition, an obscure brand of Bulgarian yoghurt, leaving us ... Fortunately it was quickly replaced by Lady M. After much turmoil, holidays, the band recorded 5 tracks finally end in October 2006. The curse on relentlessly GGY, Duke decided to leave the box to devote himself solely to the production of canned tartiflettes ... Never mind, it's Enigmatic F which take over from him in April 2007! Latest twist in early 2008, Sir D decides to leave the adventure after the concert of Rennes, to take better care of him ... The group, not an agency, decides to remain at 4!.-myspace-
